Long a playground for the rich and famous, the French Riviera offers chic resort towns, quaint coastal villages, and plenty of sun. Explore charming Nice with its graceful promenades and historic squares, visit the glittering James Bond-esque casinos of Monte Carlo, and play movie star for a day in glamorous Cannes.
Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival – Nice
Arrive in Nice and enjoy some free time to relax and get acclimated to the city.
Day 2: Panoramic Tour of Nice
The morning is at leisure to explore Nice, the sun-kissed capital of the French Riviera. In the afternoon, meet our local English-speaking guide for a three-hour panoramic tour of historic Nice. See the highlights of this graceful city, including the Promenade des Anglais, Place Garibaldi, and the old town. The tour will include minivans with lift (or multiple minivans depending on group size). During the tour, we’ll take a group picture at the famous Hotel Negresco.
Day 3: Cannes
This morning, depart for Cannes. With its world-famous Boulevard de la Croisette, Cannes is one of the most glamorous resorts on the French Riviera. Walk the boulevard, the movie star way, stop by the Cannes film festival site and enjoy a tea break at the famous Hotel Majestic. After our return to Nice, the afternoon is at leisure.
Day 4: Monte Carlo
Morning is at leisure. We will meet our guide in the afternoon and depart for Monte Carlo. With its casino, palaces, and luxuriant gardens, the name Monte Carlo is synonymous with high-stakes gambling and glamorous celebrities. Drive through Corniche. Overlooking the sea, the rock (rocher) is crowned with the ramparts of the old town and has an almost theatrical feel. During the tour we will stop at the marina, a famous casino and see the church where Grace Kelly married Prince Rainier and where she was laid to rest. Return to Nice.
Day 5: Cruise the Mediterranean
Explore the beautiful Mediterranean sea with a relaxing cruise. Behold sweeping views of elegant houses, stately villas, and magnificent coastline and enjoy snacks and soft drinks on board.
Day 6: Nice
This morning, visit a historic market and browse local handicrafts, artwork, and other unique souvenirs. This evening, enjoy a farewell dinner at a local restaurant.
Day 7: Departure
Say au revoir to France and transfer to the airport for the flight home.
