Imagine studying the teachings of Jesus while standing on the Mount of Olives: this tour of the Holy Land will make the Bible come alive for your group as you visit sacred sites such as Mount Tabor, the Sea of Galilee, and the Mount of Beatitudes.
Day 1: Tel Aviv – Arrival
Greeted upon arrival and transferred to your hotel at a resort town of Netanya. The remainder of the day is free at leisure.
Day 2: Caesarea – Haifa – Acre – Tiberias
In Caesarea, visit the roam metropole with its treasury, Byzantine Street, the theater, and the Citadel. Continue to Haifa and visit Mt. Carmel and Stella Maris with Prophet Elijah’s grotto. After the mass, we will head to Acre, the city of St. John d’Acre and the Knights Hospitaller mixed with the touch of the Ottomans.
Day 3: Nazareth – Mount Tabor
Visit the town of Nazareth where Jesus grew up. Enjoy the biblical history presentation at the International Center. Brief walking tour of the mount of Precipitation, Mary’s well, the old Synagogue, the grotto, and visit the Church of Annunciation, which will conclude our Nazareth tour. After the mass, continue to Mount Tabor – the site of transfiguration. We visit the Basilica and proceed to Shulam-Endor-Naim to discover the Monastery of St. Claire.
Day 4: Cana – Tabgha – Capernaum – Mount of Beatitudes
Cana is the site of the first miracle. Next, we enjoy the boat ride on the Sea of Galilee. Arrive in Capernaum, where most of the ministries of Jesus took place. Continue to Mount of Beatitudes – the famous site where He taught His disciples and delivered the Sermon on the Mount. In Tabgha, we will visit the Church of Multiplication of Loaves and Fishes as well as the Church of primacy of St. Peter. After the mass, we will drive to Banias to visit the archeological site. O
Day 5: Beit Shean – Jericho – Jerusalem
Through Jordan Valley, we arrive in Beit Shean to see the largest excavation site in the country. Next, we go to Bethabara – Jesus’s presumed baptismal site. Continue to Jericho, the most ancient city of the world. The city witnessed the first conquest of Joshua, the healing of the blind Bartimaeus, and the conversion of Zacchaeus. Participate in an outdoor mass ceremony and depart for Jerusalem.
Day 6: Bethlehem – Mount of Olives
Depart for Bethlehem to visit the Church of Nativity and Shepherd’s Field in which the birth of Jesus was announced by angels. Return to Mount of Olives and pray Pater Noster by the grotto, where Jesus taught this prayer to his disciples. We will see the Ascension Sanctuary, Dominus Flavit, Gethsemane, and the church of All Nations where Jesus prayed in agony.
Day 7: Jerusalem old city – Mount Zion
Jerusalem Old City tour includes: the Wailing Wall, the mosque El-Aqsa, the Dome of the Rock, St. Anne Church, the Bethesda Pool, Via Dolorosa, and a walk to the stations of the Cross to St. Sepulcher. After the mass, the tour continues with the Cenacle – the site of last supper, and the Abbey of the Dormition in Mount Zion.
Day 8: Massada – Qumran – Bethany – Jerusalem
Visit of the antique fortress – Massada. In Qumran, visit the village of Essenes, a Jewish sect of the 2nd temple. Continue to Bethany, home of the siblings Mary, Martha, and Lazarus. Visit the tomb of Lazarus. After the mass, we will return to Jerusalem.
Day 9: Ein Karem – Yad Vashem – Jerusalem
Drive to Ein Karem in the southwest region of Jerusalem and visit the Church of Visitation. If allowed, we will make a brief visit to the monastery of Notre Dame Sisters of Zion. Afterwards, we head to Yad Vashem to pray for the Holocaust victims and peace around the world.
Day 10: Tel Aviv – Return
We end our spiritual journey and return home together.
