Embark on an unforgettable pilgrimage through the Holy Land itself and watch the Bible come to life. See with your own eyes the site of Elijah’s miracle of fire, Jesus’ transfiguration, and Lazarus’ rebirth. Follow in Jesus’ footsteps as you visit sacred sites, ancient ruins, and holy tombs.
Day 1: Tel Aviv – Arrival
Greeted upon arrival and transferred to hotel.
Day 2: Caesarea – Mount Carmel – Nazareth – Cana of Galilee
Visit Mount Carmel, where Elijah the prophet performed the miracle of fire against the false prophets of Baal. Stop in Nazareth, the site of the Annunciation where Mother Mary received the good news and Cana of Galilee – the first miracle of the Lord Jesus.
Day 3: Sea of Galilee – Capernaum – Mount of Beatitudes – Tabgha
Take a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee followed by a visit of Capernaum, Mount of Beatitudes and Tabgha’s Church of the Multiplication. Stop at Gadarenes at Kursi to see the site of the Miracle of the Swine.
Day 4: Mount Tabor – Jordan River – Beth Shean – Mount of Olives
Stop at Mount Tabor – the miracle of the transfiguration of Jesus and at the Baptismal site on the Jordan River at Yardenit. Proceed to Beth Shean, which is one of the ancient Decapolis where Saul and his son Jonathan were nailed to the walls. Visit the site of the Good Samaritan Inn (Luke 10.30-37) and Bethany – the miracle site bringing Lazarus back to life.
Day 5: Jerusalem
We walk where Jesus walked: Mount Moriah, the Dome of the Rock, the Garden of Gethsemane. Visit Mount Zion; the tomb of King David, the nearby Room of the Last Supper and the Palace of Chiapas. Continue to Stephen’s Gate, the Pool of Bethesda, The Judgment Hall of Pilate, Via Dolorosa, the Church of the Sepulcher and the Lutheran Church.
Day 6: Bethlehem – Jerusalem
Visit Bethlehem (Luke 2, 1-7) the site of the nativity, the Shepherds fields, and the fields of Ruth and Boaz. Return to Old City and visit the Jewish Quarter, the Cardo – ancient Byzantine Street, the Western Wall, and Southern Wall Excavations. During the Garden Tomb visit, your faith will take on a tremendous new meaning with blessed hope and communion with Christ.
Day 7: Yad Vashem – Shrine of the Book
After breakfast, drive to the Yad Vashem Holocaust Remembrance. Return to Jerusalem to visit the Shrine of the Book and see the miniature model of Jerusalem city.
Day 8: Massada – Qumran – Tel Aviv
Visit of the antique fortress: Massada. In Qumran, visit the village of Essenes, a Jewish sect of the 2nd temple.
Day 9: Amman – Madaba – Mt. Nebo – Petra
Transfer to Tel Aviv airport to take a short flight to Amman. You will be greeted upon arrival. Visit the Christian village of Madaba to see the ancient mosaic map of the holy land. Drive to Mount Nebo, where Moses viewed the Promised Land. See the ruins of a Byzantine church with mosaic floors. Travel down the desert road to Wadi Mousa.
Day 10: Petra – Amman
Visit the “Red Rose City” of Petra, which was inhabited by the Nabateans in 300 BC. Take a horse ride from the Visitors’ Center to the entrance of the “Siq” (canyon). See the “El Khazneh” (treasury) carved in pink stone, and continue past the Roman Theater, the Corinthian tomb, and the palace tomb to the Roman road.
Day 11: Amman – Return
Transfer to airport. Flight to USA.
