Itinerary – Jewels of Israel and Jordan

Day 1: Tel Aviv – Arrival
Upon arrival to Ben Gurion airport, you are met by our local representative and transferred to your hotel. Enjoy a welcome dinner after check-in, and overnight at your hotel in Tel Aviv.

Day 2: Tel Aviv – Jaffa 
After breakfast at your hotel, depart on a half day tour of the best of Tel Aviv and the ancient port city of Jaffa. Return to your hotel in the early afternoon – the remainder of the day is at leisure. Dinner and overnight at your hotel. 

Day 3: Tel Aviv – Haifa 
After breakfast at your hotel, visit the Diaspora Museum in Tel Aviv. Continue to Caesarea and visit the Roman Theater. En Route to Haifa, visit the Druze Villages. Dinner and overnight at your hotel in Haifa. 

Day 4: Haifa – Safed – Akko – Haifa 
After breakfast at your hotel, visit Mount Carmel, the Bahai Shrine and the Persian Gardens in Haifa. Continue to Safed, the center of Kabbalah. Continue to Akko (Acre), once a crusader stronghold. Visit the old city including the citadel and city walls. Return to Haifa for dinner and an overnight stay. 

Day 5: Haifa – Golan Heights – Galilee – Nazareth – Jerusalem
After breakfast at your hotel, depart for the Golan Heights and see the former Syrian bunkers, Kuneitra and the new Israeli town of Katzrin. Visit Tiberias and Capernaum and see the ruins of the synagogue and Church of St. Peter. Continue to Nazareth to visit the Church of the Anunciation. Drive via Beit Shean to Beit Alpha to see the mosaic floor of an ancient synagogue. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem. 

Day 6: Jerusalem – Old City
After breakfast at your hotel, drive to Mt. Zion and visit the tomb of King David and the Room of the Last Supper. Enter the walled city and walk through the Jewish Quarter. Walk along the Via Dolorosa to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Then proceed to the Mount of Olives for a panoramic view of the Old City. Lastly, visit Bethlehem (subject to availability). Dinner and overnight at your hotel in Jerusalem. 

Day 7: Jerusalem – New City 
After breakfast at your hotel, Visit the Hadassah Medical Center, the Yad Vashem Memorial, the Israel Museum and the Shrine of the Book. See the Knesset, Israel’s Parliament, and the Givat Ram Campus of the Hebrew University. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem.

Day 8: Qumran – Massada – Dead Sea – Jerusalem 
After breakfast at your hotel, travel to Qumran, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found. Ascend to Massada by cable car and visit thte excavations. Return to Jerusalem for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 9: Jerusalem – Bethany – Jericho 
After breakfast at your hotel, depart for a morning tour of the biblical village of Bethany, where Lazarus was believed to have been raised from the dead by Jesus. Continue to Jericho, one of the oldest inhabited cities in the world. Return to your hotel in the early afternoon – the remainder of the day is at leisure. Dinner and overnight at your hotel in Jerusalem. 

Day 10: Jerusalem – Jerash – Amman 
After breakfast at your hotel, depart for Jordan. Cross the border at the Sheik Hussein Bridge and proceed to Jerash, city of the Decapolis. Visit the ancient Roman city. Continue to Amman for a tour of Jordanian Capital. Dinner and overnight in Amman. 

Day 11: Amman – Madaba – Mt Nebo – Kerak – Petra 
After breakfast at your hotel, travel to Madaba and view the ancient mosaic map of the Holy Land and its historical sites. Continue to Mt Nebo, where Moses saw the Promised Land. Continue to the crusader castle of Kerak for a visit. Continue to Petra for dinner and an overnight stay. 

Day 12: Petra – Amman 
After breakfast, travel on horseback to the “Siq” (canyon), continuing on foot to Petra. Visit the Treasury, el Khazneh (the tomb of a Nabatean King), the field of tombs, the obelisks and the altar (Al Madhbah). Return to Amman. Enjoy a special farewell dinner at a local restaurant (Fakr El Din) and overnight at your hotel in Amman. 

Day 13: Amman – Departure 
After breakfast at your hotel, you are transferred to the airport for your return flight home.
