Day 1: Arrival
Arrive in Rome and enjoy some free time to relax and get acclimated to the city.
Day 2: Panoramic Tour of Rome
The morning is at leisure to explore the “Eternal City.” In the afternoon, meet our local English-speaking guide for a three-hour panoramic tour of historic Rome and city highlights. The tour will include minivans with lift (or multiple minivans depending on group size). During the tour, we’ll take a group picture by the Colosseum for everyone to enjoy.
Day 3: Vatican Museums – Sistine Chapel – St. Peter’s
This morning, we will visit the famous Vatican Museums, home to one of the richest artistic and cultural collections in the world. At your own pace, see the astonishing Sistine Chapel, a masterpiece of Renaissance art, and St. Peter’s Basilica, the largest Christian church in the world. Following our visit, we will return to the hotel and the afternoon is at your leisure.
Day 4: Via Veneto & Borghese Gardens
Morning is at leisure. We will meet our guide in the afternoon to tour the luxurious Via Vittorio Veneto, then visit the lush Borghese Gardens. We will enjoy afternoon tea in the park amongst the beautifully landscaped gardens and spring flowers, and return to the hotel by dinnertime.
Day 5: Frascati & Lake Albano
We will meet our guide and drive to the Frascati wine region and Lake Albano where Castel Gondolfo, the Pope’s summer residence, is located. Enjoy a scenic drive through the rolling hills of the Italian countryside and the sparkling waters of Lake Albano. We will to the hotel and spend the afternoon at leisure.
Day 6: Trevi Fountain – Piazza Navona – Farewell Dinner
Morning is at leisure. In the afternoon, visit the Trevi Fountain and Piazza Navona. See the famous Trevi Fountain – don’t forget to throw your coins and make a wish – then explore the beautiful Piazza Navona with its elegant Baroque architecture and charming fountains. Gather at a local restaurant for a farewell dinner.
Day 7: Departure
Say arrivederci to Italy and transfer to the airport for the flight home.
